Access to Capital

As Thomasville's first Community Development Loan Fund, InvestTVL is designed to increase access to capital for economically disadvantaged communities. Through a partnership with ACT of Albany, the fund will apply to become a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) to sustainably serve rural entrepreneurs.

SPARK Entrepreneurs' Micro Loans 

Open to underrepresented entrepreneurs who complete a SPARK cohort. Low-Interest Loans of up to $30,000 starting at 4%.

Tax Prep Workshops

Get help filing personal and business tax returns during Spark Thomasville's Tax Prep Workshops. Made possible by the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation.

TCDC Neighborhood Developer's Loan

 Low-interest construction loans of up to $125,000 for developers building quality affordable homes in Thomasville's Traditional Neighborhood URA.

Neighborhood Improvement Grants

In partnership with the City of Thomasville, our Neighborhood Improvement Grant programs are designed to increase neighborhood capacity and connectivity through collaborative neighborhood-led projects. Residents and businesses owners within the Traditional Neighborhoods URA are encouraged to apply for any of our three grant programs below. Grant applications open annually in July.

Neighborhood Activities

Grant

Provides up to $5,000 to neighborhood-based groups for enrichment projects that enhance sense of place and build community connections.

Commercial Facade

Grant

Open to all commercial businesses in the Traditional Neighborhoods URA, this grant provides up to $10,000 in matching funds for exterior facade improvements. 

Home Improvement

Grant

Eligible home owners can obtain up to $15,000 for health and safety improvements. These funds are stackable with other USDA and local foundation funds.

COTC Thomasville

Community Outreach Training Center

COTC is an outreach program primarily to serve low-income families with professional development, job assistance and GED preparation in Southwest Georgia. COTC also provides housing and homeless services thoughout Thomasville and Thomas County.

Georgia Heirs Property Law Center

Georgia Heirs Property Law Center 

Georgia Heirs Property Law Center is a not-for-profit law firm that helps heirs property owners, nonprofits, and municipalities remediate fractured title, increase equity, and transfer wealth to the next generation through title clearing, wills creation, estate planning, and facilitating access to government, private sector, and nonprofit land management/home improvement programs.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. Habitat works together with families, local communities, volunteers and partners from around the world so that more people are able to live in affordable and safe homes.
